Psi Upsilon brothers and their guests are in for a treat as Jack Duane Warren, Jr., executive director of the Society of the Cincinnati will welcome us to one of the oldest societies in America on March 10, 2016. Warren is an expert on George Washington, the first president general of the Society.

A tour of the museum will follow the presentation. The event will feature a hosted bar, hors d’oeuvres and entertainment.

The cost is $50/person by March 3, 2016 (there will be no late or on-site registration).

About the Society of the Cincinnati:

The Society of the Cincinnati is the nation's oldest patriotic organization, founded in 1783 by officers of the Continental Army and their French counterparts who served together in the American Revolution. Its mission is to promote knowledge and appreciation of the achievement of American independence and to foster fellowship among its members. Now a nonprofit educational organization devoted to the principles and ideals of its founders, the modern Society maintains its headquarters, library, and museum at Anderson House in Washington, D.C.

About our speaker, Jack Warren:

Jack Warren has served on the faculties of the University of Massachusetts and the University of Virginia, where he was an editor of The Papers of George Washington. He is a leader in the preservation of historic places associated with George Washington, including the site of Washington’s childhood home and the house where he lived during his visit to Barbados in 1751. He has been a consultant to the National Park Service, the National Trust for Historic Preservation, the National Park Service and Mount Vernon.
